Fetal Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Fetal Android application available on Google Play. It explains how the app handles information, including information stored locally on your device and information that may be processed by third-party services used by the app.

1. Summary

Fetal is primarily a local-device pregnancy companion. The app does not require you to create an account and we do not operate a user account backend for the app. Most information you enter into the app is stored locally on your device. The app also uses Google Mobile Ads, which may process certain device and advertising data.

2. Information the app handles

The app may handle the following categories of data:

Pregnancy information you enter, such as your due date, cycle length, and pregnancy timeline preferences.
Reminder content you create, such as medication reminders, note reminders, appointment details, and notification timing.
App-generated logs and entries you create, such as kick counter sessions, contraction history, and baby name favorites.
App settings and preferences stored on the device, including notification-related settings and in-app state.
Advertising and device data that may be processed by Google Mobile Ads, such as advertising identifiers, IP address, app and device information, diagnostic information, and ad interaction data.

3. How information is used

The app uses information for the following purposes:

To provide the app's core features, including week-by-week pregnancy content, reminders, counters, and saved entries.
To store your preferences and keep your content available on your device between app sessions.
To schedule and deliver local notifications that you enable or configure in the app.
To display advertising through Google Mobile Ads.
To maintain app stability, basic diagnostics, and compatibility with Android system components.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Information entered into the app is generally stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our own servers because the app does not operate a user account backend.

The app includes third-party advertising services from Google Mobile Ads. Those services may receive or process certain device, advertising, diagnostic, and ad interaction data in accordance with Google's own policies.

5. Data retention

Data you enter into Fetal is generally retained on your device until one of the following happens:

You delete the relevant entry inside the app, where that option is available.
You clear the app's storage or app data through Android system settings.
You uninstall the app from your device.

Because we do not maintain a user account backend for Fetal, we do not keep a separate server-side copy of the pregnancy entries, reminder content, kick logs, contraction logs, or favorites you store locally in the app.

Third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads may retain data according to their own retention schedules and policies.

6. Data deletion

You can request deletion of app data as follows:

Delete individual entries from within the app where deletion controls are available.
Delete all locally stored app data by clearing Fetal's app storage in Android settings.
Delete all locally stored app data by uninstalling the app.

Fetal does not require a user account, so there is no separate account deletion process. If you need all locally stored data removed, uninstalling the app or clearing app storage is the most complete deletion method.

7. Security

Data saved by the app is stored within Android's app sandbox on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps within the app's architecture to limit unnecessary collection and to rely on established platform protections.

8. Children

Fetal is not directed to children under 13.

9. Third-party services

The app may link to or rely on third-party services, including Google Play and Google Mobile Ads. Your use of those third-party services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
